Queensland Games Festival – Framework Industry Event June 13
June 13th | Inaugural Industry Framework Event
A special event as part of the Queensland Games Festival to bring our local studios together for connection, discussion, panels and networking.
Studio to Studio Engagement
Framework is about community resilience. The event is based on an original concept by Tony Reed that invites our wider community of game developers to talk with each other about game dev business and issues both here in Queensland, in Australia – and the world – in order to strengthen our community. Join us in the elegant surrounds of the Brisbane Powerhouse Rooftop Terrace for our inaugural Framework Industry Event.
Framework is free but numbers are limited and registration is essential – Our Eventbrite RSVP button below.
(4.30pm – 5.00pm) Welcome to Framework
Acknowledgement of Country and Welcome to Framework: The vision – and the need. Presented by brIGDA and the Queensland Games Festival organisers.
(5.00pm-6.00pm) Panel – Scaffolding the local, looking to the national and global
Framework presents a panel discussion to illuminate the efforts of people who work to scaffold the game development sector. This panel brings together some of the QLDers who have helped scaffold our community, running events, building resources, fostering safe space, and guiding emerging creators. Come and hear their stories, challenges, and hopes for the future of game development in our region.
Featuring: Jed Dawson (Screen Queensland), Kirsty Parkin (Supaglu), Liz Ballantyne (Gameloft Brisbane), Hannah Crosby (Gameloft Brisbane), and at least one representative from Zed Games Indie Dev Nights team

Join us to celebrate where we’ve been and find inspiration for what comes next.
